My child has attended Play Academy since her very first day at school until it was time to leave in year 6.
The team at Play Academy have been nothing short of superb the entire time, the feedback they provide is excellent and the activities they plan are first class.
But it’s more than that, Play Academy is the hub that enables a village to continue to work and live. The flexibility they provide and the extended hours that are available are excellent and make a huge difference to the local community.
Beyond those practicalities, Play Academy is like a second home for the children, those that wish to play- can do, those who wish to learn further- can do, and those that just want to chill in a friendly, safe place- definitely can do.
I would recommend Play Academy to anyone looking for a superb wrap around care in what must be said is a beautiful village setting. Any children that get to attend Play Academy are very lucky kids.

We have used Play Academy for a number of years now and we would thoroughly recommend the provision to parents actively seeking before and after-school provision. The setting offers a welcoming and supportive environment and both our children have been really happy spending time there during their primary school years. The staff at Play Academy are approachable, friendly and personable, creating positive relationships with the children in their care. They offer a range of diverse and fun activities, often based on a different theme each week, both in and outdoors. Pastorally, I feel our children have been supported and their individual needs are always recognised and met. Play Academy has a vibrant, positive atmosphere and I would not hesitate to suggest the wrap-around care to others.

I am so grateful to be able to send my girls to a place such as Play Academy. They absolutely love everything about it, as do I. Knowing that my children are so happy and well looked after helps to ease the burdens of parental life. From the different themed weeks, filled with fun and exciting carefully thought-out activities, to the staff, who are so supportive and caring to all the children, everything is done with masses of care and attention.

Staff go above and beyond on a daily basis to ensure that all children in their care are happy and safe. Every morning, the children are greeted with big smiles and warm welcomes, as are the grown ups at home time in the evening. It is the small things that make the big differences; soup for teatime snack because the weather took a turn for the cold that day, having torches for outside play on dark winter evenings, frequent photos to see what the children have been up to, all help to show the love and care that is given.

The attention to detail that Karen and her team put into all areas of Play Academy make it such a fantastic and fun environment for all who attend.

Our daughter has been going to Play Academy for almost 2 years and she absolutely loves every second of it! We love that she gets to start the day with a warm welcome from the lovely team, a delicious breakfast, and even time for a play or crafty activity. After school there is an array of activities, both indoor and outdoor, and great snacks which our daughter loves helping herself to. The thought and attention to detail which goes into planning the activities each week is incredible, and each week we are brought home wonderful drawings, models, beads, baking, crafts, the list goes on! I am always recommending Play Academy to other parents as it has far surpassed all our expectations and made our wraparound care experience an amazing one! We can’t thank Karen and the team enough for all the love, effort and enthusiasm they bring each day when looking after the children.
